Meet The Provider

Melanie Osefo, CRNP, PMHNP-BC


Mrs. Melanie Osefo is a dual board certified family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with almost eight years of overall nursing experience. Mrs. Osefo received her Bachelors Degree at Morgan State University. She continued with her graduate studies at Chamberlain College of Nursing and received a Master of Science Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She later received a post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Herzing University.


Mrs. Osefo’s clinical career took her on a journey through the healthcare system as she has practiced in outpatient settings as both a primary care provider and a psychiatric mental healthcare provider. Utilizing skills in therapeutic interventions and medication management across the life span, Mrs. Osefo specializes in caring for individuals with several conditions including but not limited to major depressive disorder, PTSD, ADHD/ADD, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, OCD, trauma-acute stress disorder and substance abuse use disorders and more. Mrs. Osefo identifies each patient as an individual in order to provide culturally competent care to best identify potential contributing factors impacting a patient's health.


She is a compassionate provider who is committed to delivering care that is empathetic, non-judgmental, and patient-centered. Mrs. Osefo’s calm and flexible sense of humor are helpful in connecting with a variety of personalities. Her desire to treat the patient does not end with mental health. Understanding and managing chronic medical conditions allows her to be immensely involved in her patients care to prevent potential barriers. Thus, managing and treating acute and chronic conditions including but not limited to high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, obesity, and COPD continues to allow her to understand contributing stressors affecting one's physical and mental being.
